just shut up for a sec

DIY flannel // Emerica HK flannel around waist // H&M black dress // Opening Ceremony wedges

I was inspired by the Neighborhood shirt that I can't seem to shake (and hopefully one day will be hanging in my closet) and decided to do a ghetto DIY version. Just got an old thrift store flannel and bleached the bottom half. Could scuzzbucket be considered a look? If so, it's the one I'm most comfortable with.

This is my favorite time when the work week has come to an end and it's the quiet friday moment I have to myself before the weekend's errands, meals, gatherings, go-go-go begin. Having the perfect partner gives my life a peace I've never known, but for an innate loner like myself, I'm also thankful for the quiet solitary moments in life.

Beautiful DIY shirt, love that grungy feel. And yeah, the end of the week is the best time.

Nice shirt! I've never seen a DIY flannel before. We have the same fantasy about Lee Vining... and yes Tuolomne Meadows and just about everything in the sierras is heaven on earth haha ;)

love how you got creative with your flannel and the bleach. i am very much a homebody but what you said about your partner giving you peace is exactly how i feel ever since i've been with my husband. if anyone asks me how i knew i was in love i say that it is an inner peace that i have never felt with anyone else. so anyway i love that you said that. hope this finds you well.

The shirt looks kick ass, I might have to steal the idea. Also, I'm a bit late, but in response to your hair dilemma - don't change it! Lighten a little the ends for Summer if you need something new, but don't cut it. I am dying for hair like yours, it looks amazing. I even got extensions but am getting EXTREMELY sick of them as I can't run my hands through my hair. You have fabulous locks lovely. Get a tattoo instead haha X

I prefer your shirt over the one you were inspired by. Just sayin.

I'm gape-ing (how do you really spell that or is it a word?). That shirt is exquisite. Exquisite simplicity, what a great idea! I have never bleached something on purpose because I wondered if it took any special considerations in order not to disintegrate the item... I need to try it out for myself!

Ohhh and then I read the text too... I get to leave work at 3:30 every day so it's maybe an hour at home by myself before boy gets home. Recently when he happened to come home before me, I was a little bit disoriented/disappointed that I wasn't going to have that time, but that's ok... also great are nights he has late soccer games, then it's pure me-veg time!
