LIFE'S A BEACH

My friend has a Garfield pop-up shop open in Santa Monica, so I went to pick up one of the collaboration decks this past weekend. Also, something to note - any outfit photos or generally any photos that depict me actually living life are taken over the weekend, since during the week I am almost always like this and usually look like this.

Before I lived here, I never understood why LA people (don't want to use Los Angelenos) make such a fuss over venturing from East to West or vice versa. I thought it was a snobby thing, but it turns out it's a sanity thing. Now I don't even make plans on the other side of town unless it involves a full free day and my mental state at full capacity. Patience is not my forte. Seeing as how we were already in Santa Monica and since I will always choose a corndog over any meal (unless we are talking Spam or Patty Melts), I dragged Pixelman with me to the beach to get Hot-Dog-on-a-Stick. I hadn't been to the beach on an overcast day in a loooong time (as in I can't remember when, or if I ever have). It was kind of nice. Except for all the pigeons. With their pigeon mites. With their pigeon germs. And their pigeon poo.

It really took all of my self control not to Photoshop this picture. I'm sorry Blub, I had to...
See, the key to safe corndog-eating photos are to be biting down, or chewing. Otherwise, you leave yourself vulnerable to Photoshop attacks.

Me: Look at that white pigeon....wow, it doesn't look as gross.
Pixelman: Are you serious.......?
Me: D'oh...

Not-broken-in shoes mixed with sand, turned my feet into beef carpaccio.

Vintage Dead Kennedys tee // RVCA jeans // Dries Van Noten camel coat // Zara leopard pony hair flats // Ann-Sofie Back sunglasses // Givenchy Pandora

"You know I don't think that they have enough meats on sticks. No, seriously. If you think about it they have plenty of sweets right? They have lolli pops, they have fudge sickles, they have pop sickles, but they don't have any other meat on sticks."

I like your casual but not lookin' like a slob outfit. Your Brit-brit picture scared the bejesus outta me! Don't do that.

Your friend's Garfield shop's neat!

I don't think folks realize how damn BIG this city is. Trekking to different city sides is a huge pain in the ass.

PS. I want cherry lemonade now. And a cheese stick. Delicious.

As a native *cough cough* Los Angeleno...it is one part snobby/one part [in]sanity in regards to Westside/Eastside living. I grew up Northeast in the foothills so I don't get the beef, lol. I do get the ill traffic though.

This shoes are great, sorry it turned your feet into mince meat!

Feel free to stop by sometime!

I've never had a corndog, what are they exactly? I always imagine corn a in corn-on-thecob, but that's not what it looks like in your pictures...
Your outfit is lovely, I especially like the trousers and coat. And top and shoes. And shades.

i still regret not finding those ann-sofie glasses. i mean cmon, they probably even cover smeared mascara with the dripping-effects ...

Ekhm that white bird on a picture is a seagul, not a pigeon. It even makes sense as you were at the seaside. Lol.
