BYGONE DAYS

Sep 12, 2011

Zara sweater // Proenza Schouler x J Brand jeans // Proenza Schouler platforms

It's a very strange thing, the human body. All the things I enjoyed in my twenties, are slowly being rejected now in my thirties - sleep, junk food, a quick metabolism. Only to be replaced with a smaller bladder, heightened nostalgia, and thinking baby-faced boys are cute again...because they actually look like babies. I remember thinking the Real World people were so old and wondering if that's how adults lived, then all of a sudden I woke up one day and I was too old to even be on the Real World. Where does time go?

Aww, I feel the same way. I'm only 18. I don't hate my age, but I do wish all the time that I was five again.

Thank you for this post. I've been thinking about my age lately and although I'm not in my 30's, I feel I can identify with you. I already notice a downfall to my metabolism... and then me worrying about my regularity and if eating Activia is my answer. What is my life.

I thought that at some point during the summer, and then realized that I wouldn't even make it through the first cut of the RW auditions. Unfortunately you have to have some reality show experience to be on the Gauntlet, which is something that I would definitely be interested in taking part.

Seriously, I have no sense of my place in the time line. I am off trend to most of my friends. I run from too old, too young and back again on any given day. It is my most interesting challenge to stay current with my Self. Though I am never stagnant.

Cheers!

Honestly, everything gets better with age, especially finally having enough money to purchase the proenza schouler platforms!

How about when so many things your parents said happened to come true? That's always a hilarious realization for me. Time flies sooooo quickly.

Gurl, you crack me up. I was having that same "Real World" thought yesterday. That sweater, wowzers. Likewise with those shoes ... totes should've jumped on those, I wish more had gone into production. xo

Time does fly, but really, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just take care of your body and mind and the rest will follow. I mean, age is just a number, a state of mind, right? So cheer up! And take advantage of the fact that Asian women don't age until they're like, 50. Seriously, this is as close to the fountain of youth as humans can get :P Man, I can't wait to be 40 and look exactly the same as I do now!
