Rodarte cardigan // Zara tee // vintage jeans // pearl earrings c/o Mikimoto
Being a June baby, I will always have a soft spot for pearls. Something about them just feels so much classier and luxurious than diamonds. Sort of like they aren't trying as hard? Wait did I just say classy and luxurious? I'll go punch myself after this, don't worry. You can enter to win your own pair of earrings by clicking here.
Last Halloween I wore this Rodarte cardigan out to dinner in what I thought (and intended) to be a completely normal civilian outfit. A girl came up to me and commented on how fun my costume was. It just goes to show how subjective fashion really is.

I love pearl earrings. I grew up wearing them. And I agree, they're very classy and luxurious... before I punch myself... you think I wouldn't notice your nice, subtle perfectly lined eyeliner. Sneaky. It's very nice.
I'll punch myself later after I finish drinking my tea.
chic jacket & boyfriend jeans!

Now if the title of this was, The Girl with a Pearl Necklace, I would have expected a completely different post and my Saturday night would have been a lot more exciting.
My point is, if you run into that girl again this year, maybe you can punch her instead because those earrings deserve to be called classy.
I like pearls too. I still miss my my beloved (costume) pearl necklace that shattered on me. You look beautiful, and I agree with Kaye your eyeliner is flawless.
Love the Cardigan.I've got a love-hate relationship with pearls since my name is actually pearl. But they sorta remind me of stuck up women wearing Chanel hmmm.
Great jacket! You look gorgeous <3 x

That cardigan is fantastic, regardless of people confusing "civilian" and "costume" clothing! Haha.
And I do agree, pearls are lovely and they give this look a whole other layer (punches self).
You look fabulous!! :-)

Love the look. So pretty.

the story about your rodarte cardi really made me laugh out loud. i mean, fashion IS subjective, but THAT subjective? come on. :) anyways, i love your outfit and (i wanted to write this a long time ago already) i really love your hair! suits you so well!

Love your style, i think you are so chic by the way that cardigan is fabulous ^^
I love these photos. . . they are so calm and quiet. Also never thought pearl earrings could look awesome until now.

hahaha.... well, I hope you at least got a good life. Art, in general, is subjective.
Im with you! I'm always wearing my pearl earrings. First, they are so classy and easy and second, you can wear pearls with almost everything.
I love this outfit and the pearls.
But is it weird that my first thought was DAMN I love that bedding! Super nice.

bahaha, such a good call... when you're getting weird looks for running down to the corner store in jeremy scott sneakers, i goess fashion really IS subjective.

Bang & Buck
I love the cardigan, but ofcourse its rodarte!
My mom and I were in Mikimoto admiring all the pearl earrings the other day. I do think that they can be styled not so a la Chanel, which obviously you succeded at. I really like your hair in this entry! It's effortless but perfect.
You're so gorgeous!!!

I got loads of compliments on my 'costume' too, even though I didn't dress up. Oh well, it must mean that we're doing it right.
Really beautiful. I love all the shots, especially the second.
sexy hair part.
this is a sexy blog post WHOA!
Being a June baby, I've always thought I was the only slightly weird one to feel that way about pearls too - I've a soft-spot for them as well and I'm so glad you do too!
That said, I always get really excited whenever I see a new post from you appearing on my bloglovin' feed. Not in a psychotic way - have never 'felt' that way about a style blog so it goes to show how much I like your posts/writing!
really loved this sense of rock on your outfit!
plus the simplicity on you girl!
totally inspiring post!

I'm not a fan of diamonds either and these pearls are muy sophisticated. BTW, have I told you how gorgeous you are lately!?!?
I'm coming with the comments today. Catching up on 100000 blog posts.
love your style!
can you tell me where you got your earring that goes through two ear piercing holes? adore it, and not sure where to find.
thank you! xxo
@Gretchen - its just a regular hoop from any piercing place. This style of piercing is called the Orbital. You can ask for that.
