That's how long I've had these jeans. Since 1994. They used to be hole-free and gigantic and now they're beat up and, well, actually fit. Through all my incarnations and closet purges they've somehow managed to hold their place in my closet. It's funny how the (top) left is pretty much an accurate representation of me during that time and fast forward to the right, not a lot has changed other than some elevated fashion purchases. People evolve but the base stays the same.

The way you style the outfit on the right almost makes the jeans look like shorts ~ But I like it.

Haha awesome! I actually like both versions!
so cool that the jeans have a drawstring! fierce look.
and just look at how tall you've gotten in those 8 years!
hahah so awesome. your facial expression is priceless.
Wow, those jeans are almost vintage! :)
I love it - great recycling!

amazing you've held onto these pants for so long! still fits perfectly
I love how the look totally changes on the right.
Some things I manage to keep in my closet and find them completely awesome several years later...it's just that a year or two after I get them, I can never see myself wearing them ever again and I donate the clothing. I should have a separate closet for old clothing I might utilize in the future...
How do you decide what to keep for 10+ years and what to get rid of?
Great googly-moogly. I only have Chucks that old. Nice!
Looking great! Love the cardigan =) X

love them! you make them work so perfectly!!

you look chill. it's actually the worn out jeans that you hold onto most often, since jeans are something that just simply shape themselves to fit your body perfectly, and most importantly in a comfortable way.
Those pants are nasty, but you make them look cool.
I'd just like to say thanks for being human & knowing that photo's don't need to be taken so seriously. It's weird enough having someone to take a picture of you to show what you are wearing so I appreciate the humor & humility you bring to the table.
I also appreciate that Isabel Marant sweater. Shit is good.

I agree that people do stay mostly the same, just look at my elementary school report card (Natalie says inappropriate things, talks out of turn). Love that you've held on to these jeans, they look really rad. I'm digging this post.
