yay! pictures from my birthday bash! click HERE to see all the good times! thanks bert!
it's really bizarre that everything that adults say to you in your adolescence comes true - like turning into your parents, changes in food taste, coming of age, and then really feeling comfortable in your skin. a lot of women (and men i've learned) have this weird thing about turning thirty. as if it's the end of the world or as if it's something to have to hide or be bashful about. i've never really felt this way. i mean don't get me wrong, sometimes i do wish i could slow down time. but for me, it's never been about the number, but moreso all the things i thought i'd have accomplished by then. but hey, you can't live in regret or dwell on things you don't have, but rather, focus on what you do. like my awesome family, my ridiculously amazing friends. my health, my abilities, my...well you get what i'm saying. i'll tell you one thing though, i feel waaay more comfortable in my skin and confident than i did in my twenties. on a side note, in high school, watching the real world, those kids seemed soooo old and super adult, and now my age bracket is too old to even qualify to be on it. interesting.
