L: Current/Elliott // R: J Brand

Is it just me or is it really difficult to find good plain leather pants in a 5 pocket denim silhouette? (That is not $172,846.00) There are tons of legging style leather pants, but my thick-waist-bird-leg-Asian-butt situation is like oil to that cut's water. Plus I'd like to think of myself as a veteran in the war against leggings as pants. The two above are the closest I've found, but they're real pricey so I'm going to have to research some more. My super fashion sleuth skills have been failing me so I need your help...

WANTED : 5 pocket style skinny jean in leather that does not feel like thin spandex and/or liquid latex painted onto my legs and crotchular area and will not cost more than a month's mortgage payment. Actually, let's make it a month's car payment. Say, a Honda? Ok, GO.

Have you seen Habituals coated denim? They look amazingly like leather but are the price of denim... and they come in purdy colours like burg and toffee

I posted the C/E pair on my wishlist the other day. I'm with you ... DYING for a 5 pocket pair. I really dislike bottoms without back pockets.

not a 5-pocket jean cut, but the price makes them tempting....

What, your not into the crotch emphasis of a legging, further amplified by the sheen of leather??

The only luck I've ever had with leather pants is buying vintage and tailoring them to fit. Unfortunately, stretch leather is kind of a recent invention, so you end up just standing around everywhere out of fear of splits.

I have the same body type and the same issue finding leather jeans. God forbid they not be either PLEATHER/hideous or cost a fortune. There are some reddish Rag and Bone ones I saw way marked down but they were a weird red color and they were made of thick, awful leather. I'm stumped too, if you find out let me know.

Do you want real leather? These are a good thrifty option if you don't mind a bit of fake!

So I didn't know all Asians had wide hips no butts skinny legs holy crap I can stop going to therapy now! Ha!
On your leather jean Q I actually found that holy grail in a pair from Theory. But it was on eBay. For 75$ down from $695. With tags still on.
Try your luck! (sounds like a fortune cookie)

I bought the J Brand ones in Barneys the other day. They were expensive but I reasoned with myself that I've been on the hunt for that exact pant for half my life & a decade and a half is long enough. The cut & feel is perfection. I've been trying on leather pants in stores for eons & nothing compares!

April 77 has a pair of "vegan" leather jeans; its in the joey men's fit, but its still a unisex fit despite the moniker, and its April 77, so its solid quality, especially for under 200.

J brand is the best choice! They're pricy, but i promise you they are worth every penny! My butt lookes like jami peeches in them, and they feel like heaven. And I am not mentioning the cut -it's perfect. All in all - great investment!

1. You must be my long lost twin because I heard they have telekinesis or something and I can relate to 99.9% of all the crap you like, crap you say, crap you think. It's a great kind of crap!

2. I was on a hunt for leather jeans, jeggings etc. My only wish were that they were semi-rockstar/model-off-duty ish, slim fit, NO gross flare or bootcut at the bottom or weird high-rise top that made me look fat. On the same page? I went to intermix and found the most perfect embossed leather jeggings by Helmut Lang...and they cost a G. Distraught, i went to Zara and found a pair of pleather jeans with a waxy texture, super comfortable, and cool moto inspired stitching. I can't find it online to show you but I believe they are part of their TRF line and it cost 69.90 SKU 0557500180040. They even have awesome thick gold zipper trimmed blk wax jeans, but I don't want to look like I'm Donatella's accomplice aaaall the time.I guess never, but anyway definitely stop by Zara!

3. I was about to link you to the Asos's pony leopard trimmed leather jacket I bought today cause I thought you might likt them....
(http://us.asos.com/ASOS-Leather-Biker-With-Leopard-Print-Pony-Panel/wzffz/?iid=1723133&SearchRedirect=true&SearchQuery=leopard%20leather%20jacket&mporgp=L0FTT1MvQVNPUy1MZWF0aGVyLUJpa2VyLVdpdGgtTGVvcGFyZC1QcmludC1Qb255LVBhbmVsL1Byb2Qv)

but I just glanced at the tip of your next post which shows that WTF you have the phillip lim one. The coincidence is getting almost weird. But who cares, yay to great style! I will def be following--love your blog! I've been having blog issues these days(ie: laziness issues) but I have a blog too and would love for you to stop by!
