Is it just me?
Why do photographers insist on posing infants like this? Is it a joke among parents? Maybe it's truly a skill to be able to take a normally casual, relaxed position and make it look so unnatural? Or is that the unavoidable end result when posing something small and cute?Hmm, this guy looks pretty chill.

ok posed pictures of babies are weird. but then again so are un-posed. my cousin just posted some up of her baby and omg his legs and hands are all over the place.
i love babies. but maybe not so much in photographs. toddlers > infants. toddlers are fun cause they do stuff

that last baby picture is just not right. tyra banks would have so many bad things to say about that pose. on the other hand that puppy picture, too cute!

I think you probably have to take a special personality test to become a baby photographer. Just like if you want to join CIA.

it looks weird b/c normally little babies don't cross their arms like that. I dunno what bd wong has to do with it though?
Babies creep me out, but this just takes them to a whole new level of 'no'. aha, I'm guna have nightmares now.
I'm imagining how creepy A baby would look sitting in lotus or any other yoga pose Not called Happy Baby pose. I'd much rather look at William Wegman photos than posed baby photos any day.

they have no motor control so these poses are the only alternatives to baby's head lolling back and forth OR baby laying down. photogs are trying to diversify. i'd personally wait til my kid could hold his head up, cuz these are weird.

It cant help but look cute, but def is kinda creepy. The last baby pic scares me...Is it ok to contort an infants body like that?

This could be a reason why I own a dog right now... who by the way sleeps like a bat most of the time ... or just like the dog on the 4th pic.
