It was one of the most exciting days ever when my feature went up to. I'm a huge fan of your blog. Just wanted to let you know that!

I don't mean to be antagonistic, but do you actually skate? I'm honestly curious; whenever the press talks about your interest in skating it's limited to making those decks or working in the skate industry—which is amazing, and a career that you've obviously worked hard to have—I just sense this silence around the act of skateboarding itself. If you do, that's awesome! I'm just learning. It's incredibly difficult and rewarding and not a place to look cute or possibly even look good. Like, what do you wear to skate? Do you like big pants? Little wheels? Is that Chanel grip tape a joke or what?As a lady who is also very interested in fashion and skateboarding, it would be nice to hear your opinion about these things...

peace!

@Anon- no worries someone was bound to ask and I don't mind. I don't skate these days. I wish I did. I wish I had the time and energy to. I only did when I was younger and now in my 30s other than pushing around on a board I would never attempt anything else. I'm sure there are a lot of people who think you have to skate every single day to have a genuine credible love for it. I've never asserted myself as a "skateboarder." And unfortunately you can't control how other people write about you. Thanks for the question though and keep up the skating! ps. Big pants and small wheels were the skateboarding trend in the 90s when I was in high school. Not so much now :)

Loved how you said not to take fashion too seriously. I totally agree. Great interview.
