My Jennifer Fisher collaboration choker featured on the cover of WSJ Magazine's new issue. Shot in beautiful Costa Careyes, Mexico, that second photo really has me dreaming of a tropical vacation this summer. See the rest of the editorial here. You can find the choker, along with the cuff and ring, here.

002 STELLA MCCARTNEY

Photography // Devyn Galindo
Styling // STOP IT RIGHT NOW

The second installment of my editorial series, this time featuring the lens mastery of Devyn and my favorite Winter 13 collection from Stella McCartney. This purple coat is like the sophisticated older sister of Grimace and Barney, swallowing up your proportions in just the right way; plus let's discuss how I'm in a skirt TWICE and even wearing lipstick. If that's not the power of Stella I don't know what is. The wallpaper print was my initial favorite, but then there's all that pinstripe circle pleating, and the oversized coats are basically everything you could wish for. Love it need it want it and all that yadda yadda. But doesn't everything always look better through the lens of a great photographer? Even Timbs and Fruit Loops. Thank you Devyn and thank you Stella McCartney!

Everything is in stores now. Race you to the print!

GREAT LENGTHS

My favorite coat from this recently highly circulated editorial. Lots of big boxy mannish coats and tailored nubby pilly coats. I'm really into the idea of a floor length coat this winter. Now just need to make peace with the idea of not actually needing one for Los Angeles' "winters" but I'm sure that won't take long. View the full editorial here.

001 MARNI

Photography // Brook&Lyn
Art Direction // Brook&Lyn and STOP IT RIGHT NOW
Styling // STOP IT RIGHT NOW

For my inaugural shoot I knew from the get-go that I wanted to collaborate with my immensely talented friend and photographer, Brook&Lyn. She has a way of capturing light and lines in such a beautiful way. Ideal really, for the Marni pieces I styled for the shoot. The Fall 2013 collection seemed a contemporary spin on 60s glamour - structured pieces in luxe textures - almost like the wardrobe from a film. The looks were rounded out with a few more casual pieces from Pre Fall. I felt like a modern day Tippi Hedren and the quiet eeriness of the photos was just what I was hoping for.

When friends send you editorials because they totally get you.

Oh and the sandals I've been waiting all winter for.

This is one of my favorite editorials ever. I mean I appreciate most editorials; the sheer production to put one together and the resulting overall visual...pretty hard to discriminate against beautiful images. But this one...this one...the composition of each shot, the choice of model, and the styling, the perfect styling.

This is kind of what I meant by my last post. The crossroads of inconsistent, accidental, a little street, and high fashion. I think what the 15 year old me would hope to grow up to be?

I try not to post too many editorials anymore, but this one is too good to pass up.

MOVE ME

I'm very much having a moment with the genius that is Pamela Reed + Matthew Rader

i have a feeling i'm going to end up like this soon. the girl who was swallowed by her hair...

trust me, i do think of cutting it. about 117 times a day in fact...every time i sit on my hair...or it blows out and gets caught in the car window...or when people's arms get entangled in it post-hug...and countless other cumbersome times. it's a death trap really. i very much like this girl's hair but i don't think i could commit to it. i had "the dellal" (ugh, shudder at the name) before dellal had the dellal many many many years ago so thank god that's out of my system. i guess i'll have to give it more thought.
