EVERYDAY DENIM

Ideal blue jean washes in the only two cuts I ever need - skinny and relaxed.

Every so often I wish California was a little colder. Or maybe colder just a tiny bit longer.

BLUE SKIES

T by Alexander Wang tee // Zara overalls // vintage flannel // CÉLINE sandals // CÉLINE bracelet

The weather has been so nice this week. A tiny bit chilly, but with full California sunshine. I hate to be indoors when the weather starts enticing me like this. But at least I finally have a new shooting situation, so you might see a lot more of this backdrop in the future. Better than nothing?

TUM BLUR

I started doing my tumblr again. You know, cause I could use one more thing to do.

You can ask me questions there. Or not. Whatever you want. I'm here for you. Hashtag us.

BEARFOOT

Zara blouse // vintage scarf // J Brand jeans // Céline furry sandals

I know. I know. They're the ugliest, most confusing shoes ever. Precisely why I like them? Surprisingly not as suffocating as you'd think either. At least not any more than any of the boots I'd be wearing otherwise. There is much to be said about toe ventilation.

And I leave you with a photo of Albert Einstein also sitting on steps also wearing furry slippers. Deep.

WARDROBE METHOD

I'm on vogue.com Vogue Daily today talking about how I update my wardrobe. My methods obviously aren't for everyone, but if you're like me and don't like too much stuff, you might adopt a similar rule for letting go of one old thing to let one new thing into your closet. Helps keep the pile-up at bay, and guilt to a minimum. Read the article here. And you can still shop some of the mentioned pieces here!

BASKETWEAVE

Although I may not always buy prints, this is the exact kind that I love. Hyper realistic symmetrical textures. All of the yes.

HOMEY HOME

I'm sort of not really into clothes these days. Actually anything at all these days. Other than the chicken and fries I'm about to decimate for lunch. But home goods are usually my default browse stuff when I need a good distraction (which I never do, I need less distractions). These towels are stirring up that ol' need/want/obsessed/every-other-blogger-adjective in me.

CATCHING UP

Veda Castor vest // H&M sweater // J Brand jeans // Balenciaga boots

Still waiting for the weather to make up its mind. Clearly this isn't from this weekend, when I was wearing 60% less clothing in the 100˚ oppressive heat. Nope, this is from the weekend before when it was dark and rainy. A little too extreme if you ask me. Waking up and checking the weather report has become too much of a thing.

DR MARTENS

Although I'll always love classic Docs, since having my Yohji Yamamoto ones, I'm sort of weak for the more special styles. I haven't wanted a pair of Dr Martens so bad in a long time. Coming this fall.

VAUNTE CLOSET SALE

Hey guys. Remember how I told you about my closet sale on Vaunte? Well it's finally live! Check out my profile and closet items for sale with this very special VIP link that lets you bypass the membership approval. But don't forget to sign up for membership anyway, there are so many good closets to shop.

SUPER DUPER

Supermuse jacket // Zara linen tee // vintage Levi's // Adidas Superstars

I crawl out of bed at the last possible minute every weekday morning, usually ending up in head-to-toe black (cause when you're bleary eyed there's no time for color coordinating). So on the weekends I like to sometimes put on a zoot suit. JAY KAY. Not, I repeat, not. a. zoot. suit. Back to an important topic though - why am I so preoccupied with pinstripes these days? Someone please explain. 140 characters or less. Go.

THE BENEFIT OF STREET STYLE

Sometimes you are intrigued by fashion, or maybe downright confused. Your instincts tell you you appreciate it, but you're still not quite sure what to make of it. Then you see a street style photo that illustrates how you can take the craziest of things and make them totally wearable. These are the moments I love.
